Dear Team—
I understand you all just wrapped up your gathering - I hope you’re as thrilled as I am with the good news. Last time I shared you all a message, I mentioned the following: “I am confident in this crew. You all are some of the most motivated and creative designers we have had the opportunity to work with - and we’re looking forward for that collaboration to continue.”
Through your commitment and adaptability, especially over the past twelve months, you consistently demonstrate that.
The gamer responses from last autumn’s the game testing phase was informative. It validated the potential of a roguelike shooter but told us we still had refinements needed. It highlighted the need for a clearer vision.
It’s been inspiring to see how far you’ve progressed. You embraced the feedback to consideration and overhauled Project ETHOS with a renewed goal - one that’s positioned to fulfill its potential to our players.
The trust in this project strengthens every day. To advance the outstanding progress you’ve made, I’m excited to introduce the new hire as the incoming Director of the team. After some time of discussions, he starts with us on the specified date.
His leadership and experience in the competitive gaming genre is considerable, having spent the past decade and a half creating and managing some of the most recognizable titles in the industry, including the acclaimed shooter, and more recently, Apex Legends.
Let’s together in greeting Ben next week. We are all looking forward to continue observing the development of Project ETHOS in the time to follow.
David
